I went to see them live at Nashville, and they were outstanding. But this song strikes a chord personally due to the lyrics. I felt like a tourist that doesn't belong the last time I went to Sri Lanka, and this is exactly what I needed.
2.) Loreena Mckennit - The Mummers Dance
Celtic music has a mystical touch that when combined with Elves and Promised Lands bring an almost whimsical touch to the music.
3.)David Garrett - Carmen
I danced the Tango to a slower version of this recently, and twas a night to remember. This song definitely makes me smile whenever it's played. When I'm not worried about the steps, David Garrett's version is the one I listen to.
4.) Barenaked Ladies - Pinch me
I'm not even going to waste words on this one.
5.) Michael Buble - Everything
Women go crazy over this guy, and I can't blame them. I kind of do too. He falls into character so easily. This song wouldn't mean anything if it was sung by anyone else. Watch it on youtube, embedding is disabled.
6.) The Rap - Secret Garden
The first time heard this, I was on my way to CMU. It was a Monday and my head was heavy with the work that needed to get done that week. I believe it was the last before I left for the conference in Nashville. This song blew me away instantly and gave me inspiration that lasted the whole week.
7.) Noah and the Whale - Life is Life
I was introduced to Noah and the Whale by a girl I once knew. We were both at turning points in our lives and she sent me the "In five years time" song. I instantly fell in love, with the song, and with the band. Their new album -Last Night On Earth -
is so-so but this song is easily one of my favorites.
